Some of the basic function are implemented like:
- Work on VGA phones in WM6.1 (i’m developing with a HTC touch pro)
- Ability to track the path and export in kml format
- Ability to save waypoints and export in kml
- Preliminary map support with track displaying
- Stopwatch and Distance meter
To-Do list:
- GPS access library (currently it is using the msdn location sample library)
- Better power management
- Better user interface based on Fluid project
- Loading of waypoints
- Installer and CAB for first version
- Map loading with and calibration or google maps integration
- Porting to other phones (WVGA/QVGA/non touch phones)

Tried it yesterday. Looks good, but I have had some random reboots on my HTC touch diamond. Also, after closing the program, I have to do a reboot to get the gps to restart. I have a feeling that the gps is continuing to run, because my battery seemed to go dead very quickly. I would like to see a gps averaging capability to get more accurate location data. Someone else commented that an update rate option of once a second would be good. I second that.
Comment by Ray Jones 29/10/2009 @ 02:25I’m am developing on a touch pro that is very similar to the diamond and i don’t get those random reboot problems. Maybe it’s something related to the power management.
